This position is located in the Office of Integrated Curricular Operations, a unit of the Division of Professional Education. This position is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating online courses in the College of Pharmacy.

Job Duties:
Teaching (90%)
• Planning and Content Development
o Serves as course instructor and/or primary instructor for a defined portfolio of online pharmacy courses.
o Identifies and creates instructional resources.
o Works collaboratively with online course coordinators and instructional design team to design instruction for pre-professional, professional, and/or working professional audiences.
• Content and Course Delivery
o Works with online course coordinators to manage student issues pertaining to assigned courses.
o Monitors the delivery of coursework and collaborates with course coordinators to meet key deadlines.
o Answers all content related questions.
o Provides office hours.
o Grades learner assessments (assignments/quizzes) and provides individualized feedback to learners when appropriate.
• Evaluation
o Reviews previous course evaluations at course completion to determine areas for improvement.
o Determines improvements of learning materials, teaching strategies, assessment mechanisms, and uses of educational technology.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Required qualifications:
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Experience in education and interest in other health professions.
• Interest in online learning.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:
• Pharmacy residency certification.
• Experience delivering and evaluation online courses in an academic setting.
• Experience teaching within a college of university setting; precepting experience.
• Experience with technology related to online education including learning management systems.
• Ability to work independently, creatively, and collaboratively in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
